RECENT GRADUATE WITH A BATTERY CHARGE LESS THAN ONE MONTH OLD. WILL ANYBODY HIRE ME?

I JUST GRADUATED LAST MONTH FROM UNITED STATES TRUCKING SCHOOL. I HAVE MY CDL AND A GOOD DRIVING RECORD, BUT NOBODY WILL TOUCH ME. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO COULD GIVE ME A CHANCE? I'M A HARD WORKER AND ANXIOUS TO WORK! PLEASE HELP.

Have you tried Swift, Watkins&Shephard, or Crst England?

I have tried them but they want the charge to be 5 years or older. I can have the charge expunged in a year but I am anxious to get on the road. They did not tell me about these problems in truck driving school.

Try not to dwell on it sometimes you just have to take a sacrifice, if you work as a truck driver the rules are never fair. I just went through school after being a police officer for 10 yrs but now i may just go back to being a cop. However you do what brings you happiness, after a yr or so you could potentially make good money trucking hang in there.

Why not try Werner. They seem to be lenient.

Chris, did the prospective employers turn you down because of background problems? I also attended USTS and they helped a classmate with a poor background to secure employment

I had never heard of these companies but I will definately try them both. Thank you for the information.

I was turned down due to a misdemeanor that is under 5 years old. USTS has said they would help but so far nothing has been done. I would appreciate any information you have that might help with the situation.

Please brother you must place your trust in God...I know you may think I am ridiculous...but I was also broke with a family to care for and I felt that no one would or could help...but through all the stress and difficulty I turn to our creator and pray for help...I must tell you that God works in strange ways...He did not give immediate solutions but it came and when his helping touch our lives we sure felt the love and comfort from the Lord...We pray then be still...the Lord hears our prayers...and with faith in him he will answer us...My brother we will pray for you...Turn to the Jesus and he will help...In the mean while brother hold on to faith and I will do what I can on my time off to find you a job...You and everyone else deserves a second chance...First find God and place him first in your life...Second walk the path with Jesus accept him as your savior if you haven't already? Live a Christian life and the rest will follow.

It's not right that the school took your money and ran...they should have told you that it would be difficult to obtain a job with your record...but what goes around comes around. Although we don't know each other but I and my family will pray for you and I will do my best to help you it may take a while...

Can someone tell me something about United States Truck Driving School in Palm Springs ?
Cannot fina website for them and would like some info from folks who have gone thru the course.

I graduated from U.S.T.S.in June and was fairly satisfied with they're program, Although they informed me that my 1993 felony would not be a problem, and it was! And when I did find the one company that would hire me (Schnieder) I was informed that due to a recent misdomenor I was no longer Schnieder material. After expressing this to the School they have not been much help to me. As a matter of fact I was there just this morning and they,re doors were locked. Best of luck.

Someone looking for work should try "May Trucking" out of Salem Or.
They hired me with a bad Dac Record.

Also try "Bee Line Trucking" out of Lenexa Kansas. Owner is Bob Engert.

He hired me with a "bad record", but be prepaired to work... its furniture lumping one way arcoss the USA, from LA east, then no touch back to the west coast, and do it all over again.

I just told the man upfront what i had done, and he still hired me. Very cool guy to work for.
