When i complete the ST course how hard is it to find a job i'll be certified.and what kind of work will i be doing for the first year.I know you don't start out pass tools to the doctor and is this a good field. Do they hire new students for travling tech how long does this take.

Good Luck!! You should think of something else to do like nursing. I just finished school this year surgical tech. You should try to volunteer to work in a hospital in spd because that is where you will start. Some people get lucky to get hired as a ST if they know someone. You better know someone in the hospital because it is hard to get a job.

Good Luck, I also say to go into nursing or anything else this is not a job about what you know but who you know.

Hey , i'll be going to start ST program in a community college here, while waiting for the RN prog to open up classes. i hope it won't be difficult to find a job. i find it hard to believe that they'll only hire you if you know someone in that workplace. maybe you should check out the private surgical centers as well i heard they usually pay more as well. i wouldn't get discouraged yet.
